Camps & Clinics
Baseball
CBEA’s partnership with the UIC Flames Baseball program provides high quality baseball instruction to Chicago youth. With UIC players and coaches serving as instructors, they focus on baseball skills designed to teach young players everything from the rules of the game to sportsmanship. Offerings throughout the year include seasonal weekly camps and single-day clinics.
Softball
CBEA’s partnership with the UIC Flames Softball program provides fastpitch softball instruction for players aged 8 to 18, designed to introduce softball fundamentals to new players and support experienced players in their continued skills development.
Umpire Camp
Through a partnership with UMPS CARE Charities, CBEA hosts annual leadership development and umpire trainings for youth, ages 13 to 18. At no cost to them, participants learn the fundamentals of umpiring, develop leadership experience, explore pathways to employment and improve confidence and communication skills.
Life Skills & Education
CBEA recognizes the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellness and the impact it has on education, sports and life. We offer programming focused on improving life skills and education with these areas of focus:

“Access to UIC facilities through the CBEA has allowed the players in our program to participate in the winter months and occasionally play a game in a stadium in the summer. These are opportunities our will kids never forget…they can dream to go to college and know that someone values their effort.”
