CBEA values coaching the entire child.
We are in partnership with several programs that share this value and are currently working on a new initiative to be launched in 2019.
Chicago White Sox ACE Program
CBEA partners with the White Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) program – which is designed to provide resources and hope to more than 100 inner city youth each year, kids who might not otherwise be able to keep up with the travel demands of modern youth leagues. The partnership provides ACE youth the opportunity to “travel” across town to play at a state-of-the-art college campus baseball complex.
CATALYST READING PROGRAM AT UIC COLLEGE OF EDUCATION WITH TOWERS OF EXCELLENCE
Every child deserves the right to learn to read. CBEA partners with the UIC College of Education to promote literacy skills development for at-risk, struggling readers. The partnership enables these children to receive the strategic educational support they need by providing fundamental literacy tools and resources. CBEA works with the UIC College of Education to ensure that program participants - highlighting at-risk struggling readers - receive the strategic educational support they need to read at and above grade level. Our program provides literary tools and resources to support these efforts.
CBEA X BLUE 1647
CBEA also works closely with BLUE1647, an entrepreneurship and technology innovation center that fosters economic development in technology and 21st century skills. Success is achieved through people development (classes, workshops, and events around technology), workforce development (through youth and adult technology programs to prepare individuals for high-demand jobs) and Business Acceleration (through shared co-working services). The alignment provides CBEA students the opportunity to utilize BLUE1647 resources, facilities, and programming to aid in educational advancement and success.
